Scratching Head over Servo Motor 6.7 Cummins

Hi, I just bought a 07 Dodge 3500 Cab and Chassis with a 6.7. I was thinking about deleting the EGR since the DPF is already off the truck. My question is, where is the servo motor on my truck? The location where the servo motor is placed is MIA.

Did every 6.7 have a servo motor out of the factory or was this added later on to the engine? My engine was built on Jan 11, 2007. I also don't have the exhaust brake button in my truck, but the kit can be installed since the turbo already has the exhaust brake built into turbo.

Someone who knows please chime in. Also, please explain what the function of this servo motor is also. Thanks!

I assume you are talking about the servo motor on the EGR valve. The EGR valve is located on the intake horn just before it enters the head, and has a pipe connected to it that comes around the front of the valve cover from the EGR cooler which is part of the exhaust manifold. As far as I know, all of the 6.7 engines were equipped this way.

I've heard that the CC trucks are a bit different for some reason and may not have some of the usual items. The EGR has a servo motor usually and so does the EGR cooler. Not sure which one is in question here.

I looked at another 6.7 cab and chassis yesterday and the motor sits in front of the EGR cooler and is part of the crossover tube. I am assuming it has a flap inside the tube and the motor operates the flap etc. Anyway, my 07 doesn't have this setup so mine was never equipped with a servo motor. Anyway, thanks for responding guys!
