Unhappy Rear well liners

Why does dodge trucks not come with rear well liners in front of the tire?
Anyone made their own, and what material?

You can get them from your dealer for about $80. They take about 10 minutes to install and use factory holes and mounting locations.

If you get a set of the stock liners from someone who has replaced them, you can mount them in the front part of the wheel well. They have to be swapped (left on the right side). I did this on my buddy's '04 and they fit pretty well.

When I started looking for a truck in mid '05, the very first salesman that I talked to pointed out the missing wheel well liners and launched into a tirade about Dodge cheapening their trucks to save money. I didn't ask about the wheel well liners. He volunteered the info. I was really surprised.

I have a pair off my '06 you can have if you're close enough to pick 'em up.
I put the factory full well liners on mine. Like them better.

I remember when I bought my 98 1500 Sport the wheel well liners came "STOCK" but when I traded it in , in 02 they were a "OPTION" . So I ended up ordering a set for my 02, 06 , and now my 08..... just the way times change and another way for " THE MAN " to make more money ... that`s all .....

Future sales question: "You want an engine with that truck, sir?"
