Ya know...after revisiting this post and looking at the pics again...I don't think I like it much.

1) I don't like how the hood wraps down into the fenders like that. It's not a clean body line break. Also the bulge in the hood reminds me of a Duramax hood.

2) I also don't like the shape of the grill as much as mine. It looks like it's not as aerodynamic for one thing, but moreover it's wider at the bottom than the top. Looks screwy.

3) While the shape of the mirror is better overall and the light is cool, the mirror is going to suck when you fold it up. Frankly, the fold up idea is dumb anyway. You have to readjust them every time you move them then. To go camping, flip and adjust to leave, get there and unload the 5vr. You goto the store you don't want to park it with those hanging out, so flip and adjust back. Then to go home, you flip and adjust again. Three flips and adjusts in one trip. I'm gonna burn out a mirror motor. WTH? Why not slide them out like a Ford design?

4) The headlights are ugly. The twin projector on mine are way better.

5) Ground clearance on the front looks REALLY low even considering mine has 2" lift in front.

One thing I do like is it looks like they've redesigned the door sills so they don't wrap around the cab as much and wear out seals. My 04 ate door seals, and my 06, although improved, has eaten the drivers side in less that 30k. So that's a smart move there.

Perhaps you can answer this and perhaps you can not but is a Ram 1500 with a V8 Cummins ever going to come out?

I've seen them in person at CTC so they do exist. Just a matter of putting their money where their mouth is. I've also seen GM's 1500 Diesel and supposedly that one is shatcanned.

Here, though, diesel is lower than regular gas.

I may have to go look at a 2010 dually, but with the economy the way it is I would have a hard time parting with my paid for 06.

From what I've heard, later 6.7's have been getting a bit better MPG than when they were first out?

That wasn't my point. My point was it's not $4-$5 a gallon anymore. When it does go back, and it will, you'll see a re-emergence in other alternatives again such as small diesels. It's just the way America is built.

The red button on the dash looks like an EMO button.

I believe the current US political administrations' directions/incentives have ensured that the manufacturers will be moving in other directions.

Agree! But it's not like we don't spend s few bucks now and again to get our CTD's exactlly the way we want them.
I'd replace the mirror plate with previous yrs part.

If that's a turn signal in the corner of each mirror housing.... I love it!!

Took about 5 min, after blowing up the Grill Pic before I decided I really like it.
I do assume it still comes in crome also?

Also love the Non Flat Dash. Looks more like a truck!! JMO.

Ya know, seeing the two trucks parked side by side, suddenly I like the 2010's more than I did before. It looks.... beefier in some ways.

Still not rushing out to get one. Not enough of an improvement over my 05 to make it worthwhile.

I love the looks of the new one, but my 04.5 has a LOT of life left in her. Im gonna drive it as long as I can. I don't want a new truck payment!
