How do I get hooked up with one of your used trucks? I would love to buy a used truck that shows 50k when in reality it has 100k+. No doubt that stuff happens and I am driving a spankin' new one now so it doesn't happen to me.

ya just like you tell the next owner of your trucks that you added 200 hp and exhausted and strained ever part in the drivetrain, and oh when you go for some warranty work , do you say no im gonna pay for it out of my own pocket, because ive got parts on it that void my warranty

Mileage is recored in the ECM if any body thinks to check.I've had folks bring them in for warranty work on a 47re's.One had 68k on speedo. It had 194k logged in the ECM.

Actually, I would tell the new owner of my truck EVERYTHING. I consider myself an honest guy and would feel pretty bad knowing that I tried to trick somebody into buying something that was a POS. I'll get off my soapbox, now.

Cowboy you have one foot out the door. You will not find this a friendly place if you are just looking to cheat.

exactly so it doesnt matter and why would it be against the law what about all the mod trucks that dont even have them. On the 3rd gen 5.9 dodges you just pull the abs fuse I think. You really dont need to because its logged in the ecm but dont bash the guy for asking a question, which he has a good point about the warrenty issue with us I know I am guilty of it.

Not everyone has access to the ECM and when you sell the car truck there must be an accurate odometer reading. Next time you sell a truck tell the DMV you rolled back the odometer and see what laws they inform you that you have broken.

As long as you put down the right milage and you should get it checked out if you are worried about and yes everyone can that dont mean its free though. What about if it quits working and you dont get it fixed for 50 miles, you telling me you will be getting in alot of trouble. It dont matter if its a 1 or 100,000 its still breaking the law right. Do you ever speed, there are so many laws that everyone breaks every day that was not my point. So maybe it is wrong to do that so what. And no I dont know the guy but why bash on people. I thought most the people on this site were grown ups I guess not act like little kids that have to argue and fight about everything and see how far it gets you. We are here to learn and help others. I am pretty sure when he asked the question he knew it might not be right. well enough ranting from me just pissing me off more.

if you pull the abs fuse it does not log in the ecm it kills the power source to the speedo so it cant read any miles, but what it does is it keep all the hours log down in the ecm. So it show that you have idle a bunch it can rise a question about all the hours and no miles. You need a code reader to delete the speed sensor code. But like they said it against the law.

Look at the used truck I have for sale in the classifieds. I told everything that has any meaning to a new owner. I am not here (on this planet) to cheat anyone. I can assure you that it will come around two fold. Same goes with being charitable, it comes back around too. Soapbox is now stored away.
