Going to look at an '07 today and wonder what software programs should be loaded in the truck. IIRC the '07s are the ones having some issues, not the '08's. I know nothing about the 6.7's, so any help would be appreciated.

 

Both 07 and 08 have had software flashes issued for the PCM.

07.5 (6.7L) is version AT.
08 is version AG(???).

There should be a modification sticker in the engine compartment on the radiator support bracket near the overflow bottle.

just take it to the dealer and ask for the latest flash!

 

I have an 07.5 and do not see the mod sticker anywhere near the bottle. That radiator support is clean as a whistle. My truck is brand new (only 200 miles on it as of this post), so maybe there isn't anything to update?

 

The AU version of the flash came out in late August after the factory switched to the 08 model builds. All 07.5s require a flash, but since it is only a TSB (not a full recall) owners are not notified. The dealer will only perform the flash if you bring the truck in and request/complain about it.

If the dealer applies TSB 18-033-07, the latest flash version will be downloaded and applied by the star scan tool.
