Final word (I hope)-EGR and DPF delete done, now has H&S tuning module. Truck runs great, all faults cleared and have not returned so far. Left muffler on, so not too noisy, have not noticed any smoke-will soon see how it does pulling trailer to Glacier/Yellowstone/Mt Rushmore. Thanks for all the info.

Post trip summary:
Trip was 5500 miles, pulling travel trailer from Indiana through Wisconsin,ND to Glacier Park, then to Idaho and Yellowstone, then to Black Hills/Badlands, then home. Temps ranged from 37 to 95, altitude 600 to 9000. truck ran great, lots of power, smoke not visible in mirror, pulling mileage 10-13, non pulling was 20-22. No oil use, oil change message came on during the last 500 miles. Highest tranny temp was 215 on long grade up Granite Pass Wyoming, level ground ran about 140-150. No engine light during trip. Engine braking very useful in mountains. ready for Alaska next year.
