LOL and by your sig...we have the same truck! That is *****!! (For me anyway, good for you tho!!)

Where I live we have a stupid graduated licence system and Im only in the 2nd year of it..there are three years. So besides high insurance I can only have one person in my vehicle and I have to have a green N on the back of my truck...so others know I am a novice driver....boooo!!

I'm gonna second what Dodgezilla mentioned earlier. This has also worked for me in keeping the cel off the past couple of weeks. I'm still going to go into the dealer to get the latest ecm update (ay) though as it is supposed to decrease the amount of soot produced.

Yikes that's a lot to pay for insurance bcgirl! Insurance always seems to be set up so that you're considered "guilty until proven innocent"... you're assumed to be a bad driver just cuz you haven't had a licence for all that long... not fair at all. Hopefully you'll be down to less than half that amount when your 3 years is up. Good luck with your truck! Hmmm... the rhyming thing is getting contagious. Better stop now before it gets too outrageous!

Hi all. As you can see this is my first post, been trying to learn all about my new truck. (4 days old) Thats not the reason for my post tho, the reason is the 1000 a month. Is the cost of living up there really that high?

sorry for the off topic

Canadian dollars are different from the American dollar. It's still a lot of scratch for a vehicle but hey, we all want to drive the best trucks out there regardless of what it costs, right?!?!?

Cost of living is high, yeah. I think Canadians pay a lot more for vehicles don't we? Despite our money being sorta-kinda even. Sillyness.

i think you guys have higher taxes, and you got that GST thing that i'm sure you all love. you can walk out of a dealership around here with a brand new '08 for around $35k.

Just picked up an '08 2500 SLT for $32,000, tacked on 2 grand for the 10 year warranty. Not bad when the MSRP is $46,800

No taxes here, and with the price of fuel they are cutting $15,000 off MSRP. $16,000 off the 1500's. I'm in oregon.

LOL, we have...58,000 left on our loan for the truck, and we traded an '06 Hemi. And the truck we have now was not even brand new.

I think even though you are the 2nd owner warranty still applies and you need to deal with them. If the existing dealer is not giving you satisfaction find one that works with the problems, if the truck has a major history it will show up at the dealer which you are entitled to see. My truck was towed 750 km's to a dealer that will try to fix and trouble shoot the problems. Local dealer is a 5 star pain in the ***. PK
