Today while trying to install the hypertech max energy on my 07 dodge 2500 5.9l we made it to the dtc code list and it gave us 3codes ((fcm v0184) (abs c2100) ( abs c2200))that I have no idea stand for.when checking for codes manually by turning key on off ect. It goes through the check and then says done with no codes.does anyone know what these codes mean???

 

Try calling Hypertech to make sure the programmer is setup for your truck.
I remember a couple yrs. ago when I used the Hypertech, the wrong code or year was on the programmer . Once I straightened that out the program went in just fine and has been in ever since.

 

Thanks for the response.we plug it back into the computer and either we installed the wrong program or just never installed the latest version the first time we pluged it up....only have tried it on stage 2 and have gained 2 mpg but that's driving easy getting 20-21 mpg now have you tried stage 3 and does it make trany shift harder then stage 2.....it might just b the fact my trany is about shot clunks pretty hard shifting from 1st to 2nd

 

I have tried 3 and it's fine until I tow my 5th wheel that weighs close to 11m lbs. then I get some tranny slippage so I put it back on 2 and keep it there.
I can't say I've seen any improvement in mpg from the Hypertech, but I do get 2-3 mpg improvement with the egr valve unplugged.
