Hybrid Battery Voltage High
Hybrid Battery Voltage High
I'm getting DTC's lately that refer to "Hybrid Battery Voltage High". It's P2000-something (sorry, should have written it down). Every few weeks or less the CEL comes on and it's this same code. I merely erase it with my code reader and everything is OK until the next CEL, when I repeat the process.
Does this indicate any serious condition or is it just a nuisance? I don't mind having to erase it if it's not too important. The truck runs pretty good otherwise. Thanks....

I think you are reading the wrong brand of DTC explanations. That sounds like a DTC explanation for a hybrid vehicle. However, there are some p2--- codes that pertain to the 6.7L and are quite frequent:
p2000-This means your o2 sensors are getting gummed up. Pull the sensors and hit them with compressed air and it will keep the code from popping back up for a little while.
p2262-This means the sliding vane from your exhaust brake is getting stuck on your turbo due to excess soot in the turbo from the EGR. If you take the truck to the dealer for this code you will start a 3-stage process: the first time you take it in you will get a reflash. The second time you take it in they will drill a hole in your turbo, tap it, and flush cleaning solvent through it to try and clean it out. The third time you take it in you will get a new turbo and this cycle will start all over again (with the exception that the new turbos already have the hole drilled and tapped for the cleaning solution).
Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply, Bronco Hound. I'm quite sure the words "Hybrid Battery" come up on my code reader. No mistake there. Next time it happens, I'll remember to write down the P-number accurately. I THINK it was P2000, but can't be sure. Thanks again...
Your code reader just may be programmed with a set of DTC explanations that are not generally intended for Diesel truck use. It doesn't mean the code itself isn't popping on your truck. On my DTC spreadsheet, p2000 is "nox Absorber Efficiency Below Threshold - Bank 1" and the Dodge DTC list on the Edge website reads "P2000 NOx Trap Eff Below Threshold Bank1" which is due to the o2 sensor giving a false reading due to being gummed up.
BTW, i did a keyword search of "hybrid" on my entire DTC list and it came back with no matches.
