My 08 megacab just started blowing coolant out the overflow but my truck has never ran hot
It is deleted and I run the h and s on mild is it possible to just retorque the head or if I pull the head what head gasket do I need to run and should I get the head studs or just factory bolts. I rarely pull anything and if so nothing heavy just need a truck sometimes and this gets good mpg. What route do I need to take with this. Thanks in advance it has 130k on it

 

Once she starts to leak, really is no other fix than replacing the gasket. This go around, install head studs.

I just had the same happen. I wasnt paying attention and got into the ped. When I got home I had coolant blowing out of the over flow. From everything I read it sounded like a HG. I am running and XRT Pro on hot. With all that I have done to the truck I new I was playing with fire by not doing head studs.

Took it to Centex Diesel around Canyon Lane, Tx. Cody the manager is good. They tested the truck and said that the HG was not totally gone and said that he recomened new HG and A1 HII head studs. They are doing the work as I type. Seem like good guys.
