Good deal or no?

dunno what's up with the dealers here in Phx.. it's like they all talk to each other and have the same BS prices and sales pitches.. Looking @ an 08 larimie 4x4 mega-cab with evey option possible.. (sunroof etc..) and they want just under 46k. I tried to haggle with them but they wouldn't come off at all. Happend at two different dealers almost exactly the same. They both claim they give the lowest price up front for "no haggling" sale experience..maybe I'm delusional on my top price (42500)? I'm willing to travel if it makes sence so any suggestions welcome.

thanks,
Ken

: That's a great price! Up here the dealers want 54,000-56,000 for a truck like that.

I just bought a 2500 from Dave Smith Motors in Idaho. Got 10k off MSRP, and 4k off edmunds.com "what others are paying". No haggling, no BS.

Here's their website, save it, as it's hard to find. Check out their huge inventory.

It's worth the trip, and that saving will buy a lot of diesel.[/QUOTE]

what is the MSRP for the truck you are wanting. My in law swears up and down that you can buy any vehicle for 2/3s the price. Which would put my 47k truck at around 31k. I hate going shopping with him, He is off of his rocker. 10k-12k is about the best you will do under normal circumstances.

i am looking at an 08 quad cab 2500 slt 4x4 with the 6.7 cummins in it and the best price I can get from the wifes uncle even is about $49 grand so I don't know why you all are saying a mega cab full load for $46 is too much.

OTD paid at Tempe Dodge

That's a great price here is my story and not one from a friend of a friend or a relative (sorry folks those tails always grow)
MSRP $55535
My 0% finance contract price for 4 years $55120@$1159/ month 48 months
That is made up of 6yr/85 K warranty $2200
That is 0% instead of $3500 rebate
Trade difference of -$850
Sales tax at 8.1%
Plate $856
Doc and prep $299
Sale price after one hour negotiation was $46120
Everything on a ram dually with 6.7, 6 spd auto, except moon roof.

dats da facts jack period!

sorry, but that is no deal at all. that should be about the msrp of a new slt 4x4 with some options. 10k off msrp is at least where you should be for purchase price.

The prices I'm getting are dealer invoice, less rebates and incentives, less 1/2 the hold-back. About $10,000 off MSRP. My local dealer will match Dave Smith or anyone else. What they haven't been able to do yet is find one equipped like I want. 3500 SLT 4X4 with side air-bags. Too hot here in the summer for leather. Good to hear what kind of deals are out there.

Goofing around one day and drove a 08' 4x4 6.7 6 speed manual Mega cab dually Larimie loaded. It didn't have the tow package (odd ball) and Navigation but had everything else. Had them down 10,000 dollars off MSRP within 30 mins which the MSRP was 53,XXX for a total of 43,XXX before taxes. It can be done just stick to your guns hard and fast. If it is on the lot you have a better chance.

Edited: By the way that was when the incentives were only 3,500 off. Now they are 4,500 off.
