Exhaust Brake Flutter

Hey Guys, was driving home today pulling a 24' dovetale trailer empty. Down a steep grade, holding 5th gear and exhaust brake was in full. Had the country music going and thought the cd was messed up cause it sounded weird, turned it down and noticed the exhaust brake kept going up and down like i was playing with the peddle. It got really bad, set the auto tranny to 6th, gave it some peddle, then put it back to 5th again and it did the same thing. called the dealer, said to bring it in. Tried it again a few hours ago empty and it's not doing it... Any clues?

exhaust braking oscillation should be independant of regen.

Complain, domonstrate, and document with a dealer.

I have the edge extreme and had in on "mileage" and also have the monitor set up to let me know if i'm on regen and i was not. I did call the dealer and they said bring it in, but it hasn't done it since.... also a swail in my roof has shown up, i've had the truck 2 months, and the dealer had it 3 days before i purchased. I know nothing hit this truck, the swail in driving me nuts. I think it may be a sheet metal defect of some sort. I did have the rear dvd entertainment system installed about 2 weeks ago, but i'm sure that has nothing to do with it, and it's located about 10 inches closer to the running lights.

What's a swail? I have a "pucker" (sticking up), not a dent on the front of my hood that I didn't see the night I bought it. Took the truck back a week later and they're going to warranty it as a defect. They're planning on re-doing the entire hood.

Ask your dealer about it, you never know.

Mine did the same thing for the first 6,000 miles, I thought it wasn't acting right, but It doesn't do it anymore.

I have had the roof "collapse" from the air dryer at Auto. Carwash.
