welcome to the club. haven't read a single report of someone actually getting one of these messages yet. were i a rich man, i would let my truck sit and idle for 6-7 hours to let the dpf fill up just to see if i could get the messages to pop up.

The evic update changes the dpf warning messages.

The 08 evic can be programmed with a dealers name address and phone # info to come up when you are due for service

Is this something for the 08's only or does this work for the 07.5's too??

I had my overhead display (EVIC) reprogrammed yesterday as part of TSB 18-013-08 - Overhead Display. I received a new sun visor label, an 08 Owner's Manual Diesel Supplement, and the Dodge/Cummins 6.7L Turbo Diesel Owner's DVD and audio CD. The manual supplement states that there are two types of message sets. I assume the 07.5s get set 1 and the 08s get set 2. You'll only see the messages if there is a problem.

I bet if you have the latest PCM flash you wouldn't fill the dpf if you performed that experiment.

optimum speeds for a regen is 50-59 mph but a regen can occur at any speed.

you probably will fill the DPF up before too long then, unless you go on some highway cruises for 40-50 minutes to clean it out. If the regen isn't complete and you park the truck it will just go back into regen the next time you drive anywhere.
