enigine miss for 1 and a half minute then runs great.

I've posted on here before about my 2006 5.9 running away with me and I had to replace the engine and I had the injectors rebuilt by F1.

For the last 8 weeks it has been at Pueblo Pump and Injector looking for the miss that only shows up early in the morning and goes away in about 1.5 minutes and engine then runs great.

They have replaced the injectors several times from F1, they were very good on support of this problem. It all showed an injector problem a couple not running at 100% they would range from 86 to 92%.

They Did compression check 6 times, leak down test 6 times. Replace the Fuel rail, replaced a $2400.00 ECM. Pueblo injector has spent their own money and bought 6 new injectors and put them in and it still has the problem. They have checked the wiring harness, replaced the valve cover gasket. Fuel tubes and lines replaced too.

Like I said, I only have a miss when it is cold then it goes away after a minute and a half. I MIGHT ADD THAT THERE IS A LITTLE MISS WHEN YOU COME OFF THE FREEWAY BUT GOES AWAY. YOU REALLY HAVE TO CATCH IT TO FEEL IT.

Dodge does not know what to do anymore and Sean the Mechanic has pulled his hair out and has helped so much on this that I can not say enough GOOD THINGS ABOUT HIM AND PUEBLO INJECTOR.

I called cummins in Denver and they did not want to talk to me and I asked Sean to call them on Friday and he did and they said they would get back with him on Monday? They did say I could bring it up to them?

Any help any one has would be greatful. My truck has been down for 8 months now, new engine, waiting for injectors and now this.

Please help if you can. J.R.

Did they pull the return check valve in the back of the head? Could be leaking allowing return fuel circuit to drain back to tank. Easy way to test is pinch off return hose overnight. Then before starting remove pinch off tool if it starts with no problems then you have a fuel drain back problem to tank. Just make sure you pinch off the correct fuel line and not the supply line. Or park truck with front pointing down a steep hill. If fuel tank is up higher then engine fuel will not run up hill as far as I know.
