A common issue with the 08's is the variable vanes in the turbo becoming clogged with soot preventing them from moving properly.

A simple solution is to keep your exhaust brake on at all times and that makes those vanes move all the time not allowing the soot to cake up around them.

Most likely your turbo will require cleaning if that is the case with your truck.

I think that the special part to cleaning the turbo is a fluid and port that needs to be drilled in the unit (most later models come with a drilled plugged port for this reason). Also, I think it needs to be hooked up to the computer in order to actuate the vanes on the unitl while the cleaning is taking place... Are you out of warantee or modified?

Not sure where you live, but maybe the turbo and/or cleaning is covered under the emissions warantee (100K miles in CA).

Get it out and work it hard like towing a trailer and it will help clean it out. But do like Top said and run it all the time..
