Question The diffrence between a c-c and a regular cab with a bed?

I have a question about the new 6.7 cummins, If you go to the build and equip. on dodge's website and you build a regular cab with a long bed with the 6sp-auto it will not allow you to delete the bed? I want a cab-chassis but I was too late in ordering one. I was wondering if you could get a 6.7 w/ a 6sp-auto and take the bed off to put a bale bed on? I have a problem with a truck fitting my BIG A$$ I'm 6'10" tall and I have to have the 6 way drivers seat and the power pedals. So finding a truck is hard for me.
Or should I wait for the 2008's?????

Thanks,
Jim

Sure you just buy the truck and jerk the bed off and add the bed of your choice the only difference in the CC and the truck with a bed is the CC rear axle will be narrower. Makes the after market beds not stick out so far. I have a single wheel that came with a bed, it now has a CM flatbed on it

Has your dealer tried locating one at another dealership?? If not or if there aren't any available, I'd recommend waiting and ordering a 2008 3500 C&C... the C&C is designed for the aftermarket treatment... flat frame rails and such.

I would like to get a 08' but I have the HydraBed (Round Bale Unroller)ordered and i have to have a truck by the end of August. I have looked everywere for a C and C and haven't found one I liked yet. I'm really picky about my trucks! I tryed looking for one around your area graghitecumnz, I live just West of Salina,KS.
See I like the 6.7 with the 68re tranny and I just didn't know If I could do that with the bed and all.

Hey too tall give Dick Baily Motors a call 800 333-8992. Ask for John Day and tell him Troy Barbee told you to call. If there is one on the planet they have it, and if not they will find it. They do tons of C&C for rodeo rigs and Ranch trucks. They are in Okmulgee I'm sure thats a little bit of a drive for you but it would be worth having the right truck.

I'd either have a dealer find ya a C&C or wait for one, the Aisin tranny seems a little more promising to me than the 68re, & the bright side is even if the Aisin turns out to be a piece of junk they're warrantied for 180,000 miles so that's $ you don't have to spend fixing it if it does ever give you problems! just a thought??? here ya go, that ones close if you can live with just the power seat & no adjustable pedals, I think the pedals are as far down as they go anyway, with the adjustable pedals I'm pretty sure it only brings them closer?

Like I said, call a dealership and ask if they can do a dealer search for the vehicle you want. Typically, they'll work with you on a doing a dealer trade so they can make a sale.

2007 White C&C
2007 White C&C #2
2007 Flame Red C&C
2007 Flame Red C&C #2
2007 Blue C&C

this is just a sampling I found within 500 miles of Wichita.....

The Cab & Chassis also has the 52 gal fuel tank (34 / 35 gal on the non-cab & chassis).

Hey Maynard3,
I'm wanting a truck almost like yours except It's a 3500 quad or 2500 quad, With the Electric Blue!!!! I love that color!!!! I'm trying to decide if I should get the 68RFE or the Handshaker??? I work and live on the farm and love the manuals, but I love to go on trips in my free time, like to branson, MO where you have to ride the clutch a bit, I was wondering If the 68RFE gets better fuel millage than the manual or he other way around?????? I'm going to order this truck in the next week or two, whenever I get wheat harvest done!!!!!

Thanks,
Big Jim
