Cummins will have to rethink their product!
Thats right my sons friend is an engineer at Cummins... He was tell him over the weekend that the new turbos will have some kind of pocket to hold a container of something??? I suspected Urea??? He even told him that upon returning the truck to the dealer for service that some units will be upgraded to this newer Turbo setup!!!!
You guys dont all need to get a '200 HP' detune... Simple keep your foot out of the throttle!!
Think egg trick!
I just pulled 19.1 out of my 01... Been a long long time since I have been over 20, but I think 19.1 is pretty respectable for Mach 6.5s..
I have slowed down, easy on accel, got rid of the big tires, and of course the biggest thing is the Jetta... 45-55MPG still costs 50-60 to fill up, but that $# lasts for 600-700 miles with ease...

I cant stand my truck when it gets turned back to stock settings. I couldn't imagine a "de-tune". Then again when I start paying $7.00 a gallon I be willing to run on 3 cylinders

It still takes a certain amount of hp to go a certain mph, which takes a certain amount of fuel. It really doesn't matter if you limit the hp to 200hp. If it took 150 hp to get to 60mph, you still have to make that 150hp. Less hp will only help fuel economy by limiting how fast you accelerate, which you can already control.
