Code help please ???
Just did the cal style deletes with the extra step of a cat delete down pipe as well & programmed the ecm with my new smarty jr with the ME software. I just loaded the towing setting.
Like anyone with a new toy, I also used the smarty jr to check for codes & this came up:
P-0700-Transmission Control System (MIL Request)
I never had code troubles before & just had a cel from running with the egr unplugged before I did the deletes. I cleared the code & it came right back........
Could I have done something when I removed the transmission cross member bolts on the pass side to lower it slightly to get the cat pipe out ?
Just let the trans down about 2-3" to fish the cat pipe over the crossmember.
I don't see any wires off anywhere, but it was late last evening & I may have missed something.
I don't want to run the truck till I get this figured out.
Also I had the hood open for an extended time to get things changed out & the batteries were too low to start the truck. Don't know if a low voltage issue may have caused this ?
Installing 2 new batteries this evening.................
Truck info:
2008 2500 QC 4x4,6.7 Cummins, auto, 16,000 miles
Thanks in advance !

Could be something that was there prior? I suppose you did not check for any codes like this before the delete and work (just your unplugging CEL)?
My understanding about this code is that the Trans Computer is telling the Main Computer that there is an issue that the Trans Computer has... I think you may need to get it connected to a Starscan to see what is going on with the trans computer...

Don't really know since the light was on all the time due to the egr unplug.
Others in the know suggested low voltage may have caused it since the voltage was tested with both batts disconnected & they both gave me an 11.6 volt reading. Weird things were happening when I was loading the smarty.......dash & overhead lights flashing etc.
Gonna throw in the new batts & drive it tonite or tomorrow & find out. Trans always worked perfect before.
I don't want to have to go to the dealer if I can avoid it.......Lots of stuff has to be put back on !
My dealership was recently sold & the general manager that I bought 4 trucks from & knew personally is long gone. (No one to look the other way if I left the deletes intact.)
Replaced both batteries & used the "lowbuck" code clear (connect both pos & neg Bat terminals together with them off the batteries of course) to erase capacitor supplied voltage to memory in the ECM.
The truck now runs the best it ever has since new with NO CODES !
Thanks to Marco & CBrahs, Marco, for a great product (Smarty Jr) & Chris for his helpful insight in troubleshooting my codes.
Now if we can just get that DAHM tire pressure sensor light out..........
Life's good tonite !!!!

Rolled another 200 miles on the truck today.........interstate travel between 65-75 mph. (And a burst or 2 to 80-85). Truck ran flawless, trans & jake brake worked as they should.
Vacation to the great white north primed & ready. (I'll get a few tinfoil hats made up for barter stock & dip them in diesel as a preservative !)
