Check Engine light On

I was driving home this evening and my check engine light came on, I have read here on the forum that one may cycle the ignition 3x and on the fourth one that you can tell what the code is. Question, where does the code show up at? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

megaturbo, welcome to DTR.
turn the key on and off 3 times then back to on. the odometer will display codes. it will start with a p and then 4 numbers, for example p0191
https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...n&onlynewfaq=1
then click the link above and look up your code. post the code number on this thread, and we shall see what we can do to help.

Thanks for the info, but I got in my truck this morning and the overhead computer said that the catalyst was @ 100%. So I went to the dealer and the latest and greatest flash loaded. I am not holding my breath though that it is going to solve the problems.

check your overhead display, it will tell you when your catalyst is getting full, all you have to do is go drive the truck at 60 MPH, 2000 RPM for 10-15 miles... the little Catalyst Stat bar graph will move down as it burns off the soot in the DPF, and the percentage will drop. When it drops to 70% or below it will say "System OK" instead of the Catalyst Stat & graph.
