Talking Banks Intercooler released today!

Just got off the phone with a tech at Banks, he told me they just released a intercooler upgrade for the 6.7. Tech said should add approx. 30hp at the rear wheels without a tuner 40-60hp with a aftermarket tuner and lower egts a couple hundred degrees.

Part# 25983
Price $1438.00

hrmm. That all sounds good and everything but in my mind it may make the truck go into regen a lot more often since the egt's will be so much lower when normal driving...

either way that sounds awesome and ill probably be buying one!

IMHO save your money. I had the complete Banks performance system on my Ford 6.0. It ran really good. I also decided to add the Banks intercooler system which was like $1400. I could notice little or no difference in performance and my EGT's were only slightly cooler. I'm sure a new CAC can make a big difference on an older rig that has a poor stock cooler design, but the new units are pretty good right from the factory. If you figure out how much of a performance increase you get (HP per dollar) I'll bet this upgrade gives the least HP increase with the biggest expenditure.

I would suggest having that salesman produce a dyno chart The EGT drop is about double from what others have shown............
