Alternator not charging

Alternator quit charging so I replaced it and still no charge. There are no codes, shows 11.97V at both batteries and 11.97 volts at the battery post on the back of the alternator. Thought the new alternator was bad so got another new one, same thing. Other than a bad ECM what am I missing? Thanks for any suggestions.

Did you test the batteries independently (load test)?

Decided to clean the battery terminals one last time and when I was going to take the ground cable off of the drivers side battery the side that has what I think may be the primary PCM ground fell off in my hands, repaired that and problem solved. I always thought that was a solid bolt but after a close look apparently the 2 sides are soldered together or something as I could only see 1 tiny spot that looked broken or corroded.

Well after working properly for a while the thing has stopped charging again. Both batteries are less than 2 weeks old, alternator replaced the end of Feb, all 4 cables clean and tight. One new twist is that the check gauges light now stays on after the engine is off and the key has been removed and the AC stopped working a couple days ago. Any thoughts?

This is a long shot, but there is an article somewhere here about the wire to the ac rubbing against the housing and causing all kinds of false codes and electrical issues. Its worth a shot to see if it had rubbed through. Easy to get to and check.

Found out that the thing was charging the whole time. There was a 2 volt drop in the cross-over cable so the computer wasn't seeing it. Replaced that cable and problem solved. Just for grins dissected the old one and found a good sized area hidden inside the insulation that was badly corroded.
