Abs & brake light on
Abs & brake light on
I need to inspect my truck 2007 3/4 ton 4/4 diesel. My brake and abs light are on. After failing the inspection I was told for $120.00 they could get the lights off and inspect it. I overheard the mechanic say it was a sensor on the rear axel above the differential. Cool $16.00 for the part at auto zone. My tailboarder and I put the new sensor on pluged it in. With a proud grin I turned the key and glowing nice and bright the abs and brake light are still on. If someone knows my next step please help me!!! Thanks
More than likely its a front wheel bearing going bad and missing with the sensor in the assembly. Usually checking the codes will tell u which one. Just search on here for key switch check codes. it will explain process. basically turn key ahead 3 times with out turning it all the way off and on the third turn, leave it on and on your odometer it will flash some P-Codes. write them down and google them.

Thanks for your reply. In all the videos I watched on replaceing the speed sensor, driving the truck for an 1/8 th of a mile after was not spoken.
Amagine my surprise when I pulled out of work and the lights went ding ding and they were gone!!! We'll another lesson dad taught me years ago I forgot " Always test drive the vehicle after repair". Thanks for the info. I will have manny repair questions in the future and will look forward to your help again. Thanks
