Even though your in the shop, please give them a shot at fixing it before you lemon this. Problems do happen anymore with all the garbage on the trucks. ITs not really there fault the goverment turned a engine into a air filter.

The turbo is a VGT turbo and very well does play a roll in how it will regen at a idle parked. This post I copied is the only one that seems somewhat informative.

Atleast they seem the be very concerned about your issue. Good in the Dodge bigwigs I say for helping out. JUST dont let them tell you you were running the wrong fuel

I am going to give them a chance to fix this truck because I like this truck so much. Also, it would take another six months to order a new one and have the Western Hauler conversion done. I also told them that nothing but ulsd diesel has been used and that I have the receipts to prove it. Hopefully, they will get the part installed tomorrow because I need the truck later this week. I bought the extended warranty because it looks like it will be useful with all the emissions stuff.
Thanks.

Sensors are easy to get by... Just give it some time.

You already gave them enough chances. Dump the truck and put up a MAJOR stink about getting a new one or your money back.

Once a problem truck, always a problem truck. Wishing and hoping of for fairy tales.

I got it back today! It seems to be driving smoother and other than that is the same. They were not 100% certain that it was the turbo so they replaced the actuator and the exhaust brake also because I said this was the last time I wanted to bring it in for this problem.
The bill for dodge is 5500 dollars! Needless to say I would recommend everyone to buy the extended warranty! There also want to use my truck with my trailer as promotional advertisements because it is a western hauler so maybe they will give me something for that.

Thanks everyone!

Not to add insult to injury, but I'm averaging 21 mpg's on my way to work with my 07 5.9.

I just played guinea pig with BMW for the last two years on their new K1200S bike, and it's still not right.(fuel mapping/tranny) I didn't want to take the chance with the 6.7.

I feel for ya...hope they get it fixed sooner rather than later.

You paid too much $$$ for it to sit at the shop and for you to constantly be driving back to the dealership.

"Nip it in the Bud" and Lemmon it and order a new one ASAP ... don't wait, you'll regret it later.
Couldn't agree more. Implement the Lemon Law.

Sorry I have been really busy this time of year. Yes, it did fix it. The noticeable improvement was the sound in the cab dropped by 50 percent but it seemed to be a bit louder on the outside. Have put a couple of thousand of miles on it since and it has been perfect. My dealership and dodge were very good and tried their best to make everything good. I towed through the night on Sunday , later today, Friday, and Sunday through the mountains. Will let you know how it goes!
