2008 6.7L Flash and Gas Mileage

I know we are supposed to be on the AP flash for the 6.7L. Is that still true?

I can't find a sticker in the engine compartment that tells me what flash I have.......where do I look? I know my truck hasn't been flashed since I took delivery in early December of last year.

I've had no problems(knock on wood) should I flash it?

Interesting, I get 14.8 mpg at 72 mph. I get 18.5 mpg at 62 mph. Lot of difference. All hand calculated.

Mike

You are probably around AD or so if you haven't gotten it flashed since last December. That is what my truck was at before i started having the CEL drama and I bought mine December 1st of last year. Honestly, i didn't start having CEL issues until I took the truck in for an "upgraded" flash. I don't have any way of knowing if those two events are related, but if it ain't broke, leave it alone.

Your mileage sounds similar to how mine was before the deletes. Big difference between 70mph and 63mph.

That was a question of mine that no one had answered, If I'm not sure what flash my truck has do I take it in. My initial thought was hell no, why if its not getting CEL's and it runs smooth. However I only have like 1500 miles on my truck due to me deploying shortly after buying it. I'll be home in less than a month though, to start racking up those miles.

IF IT AIN'T BROKE, DONT FIX IT!!!! Look's like you have no issues and are getting fair fuel mileage, but if you want CEL's and poor mileage reflash in take your chances..

Anyway, I'll leave it alone.
