2008 6.7 Issues

OK Guys. I've really appreciated lurking and listening to some pretty experienced Dodge owners. Some have had problems with the new 6.7 emissions equipment and some not.

I'm ready to go order / find a 2008 6.7 with the options I want this weekend, but the prospect of Dodge leaving a turd in my pocket, in the form of continuing emissions equiptment problems, is giving me problems. Are owners of the 2008's having any problems with the particulate filters, etc? Do folks who are inside to this issue believe Dodge has this issue cured?

Let's face it, this is a lot of money and there was a problem for sure and I want to find out if it is still an issue with the new deliveries.

This will be my first Dodge. Has Dodge ever left owners high and dry with a continuing problem that went on after warranty ended?

Thanks,

River-runner

Im not sure about the 2008 models but i know i bought mine about 3 weeks ago, so it has the same flashes and emissions equuipment that an 08 should have.. as far as i know. Dodge may have something else going into the 08's that im not aware of, and i have had absolutly no problems, runs like a dream and after installing an S&B intake im getting 16.7 MPG, not bad for a 3/4 ton truck. And just so you know i have been a loyal Chevy man my whole life and after buying my first dodge i dont think ill ever go back.

All 6.7s should be OK if you make sure you are running the latest flash from Dodge. It seems to solves all the problems the DPF and emission system was having.
