2008 3500 assistance
All,
Being a 5.9 guy with my truck paid for, I've avoided looking at 6.7's. But the new truck bug is always present...so my question.
I'm researching 2008's, and how modifications and delete kits affect the on-board computer and check engine lights. As seen by my signature, I love to mod, but don't want to create a headache with constant lights. This truck will be for pulling the 5vr, not a work truck by any means.
Thanks

A Smarty down loaded with ME version software is a must or something similar. My only issue is that the overhead will ding and inform me that the Catalyst is full. I clear this with either a code reader or my Smarty and I am good to go for another 2000 miles.
My truck runs great and I have better fuel mileage with my set-up.

Well I fought the mod bug for 2 years, after multiple trips to the dealer ( I am know on a first name basis), I deleted friday and now what a truck, I hope no more problems, I will keep posting.
If you go with H&S XRT, you will have NO LIGHTS/NO WARNINGS when you delete the DPF and EGR. The XRT tells the truck that the components are still in place and functioning correctly, when in fact there not there at all. I recommend rollinsmokediesel dot com. He will help you out and answer all your questions!
