2007 5.9 Broke down

I have been experiencing problems with the truck for several weeks. I have suspected an injector problem for some time now. It finally got bad enough to do something about 2 weeks ago. I ordered some reman injectors and received them last Monday. I immediately installed them. I cleaned everything and drained the fuel filter reservoir and put in clean fuel. The truck ran good for literally 5 minutes and went to skipping and missing and just running rough again. Today, another set of injectors was put in. Almost same thing. Ran good at idle. Drove it down the road, it started running worse than before. Shivers Diesel in Tifton, GA has it. They put the computer on it and tested all the parameters but cannot figure out what is wrong with it. All parameters seem to check out ok.

Any ideas?

Sounds like you have something left in the tank, I would pull it and physically clean it out with a visual inspection.

Have you asked the people that built your injectors to inspect them?

I didn't clean out the fuel tank. If I am getting the right fuel pressure at the pump, could I still have a problem in the tank?

I did ask the company to inspect the injectors I returned to them and see what they find out. They are supposed to test them this morning.

My truck started acting like that a couple months ago, ended up dropping and cleaning out the fuel tank and it's been running like a champ ever since. Turns out there was water in the fuel.

Turns out my #4 injector was bad. DO NOT ever buy from Diesel Logic/ L&G Diesel of Jacksonville, FL. Their products are junk. Their customer service is worse and they refuse to refund my 1200 bucks. Two different sets of injectors both were bad.

Thanks. I searched but didn't find anything until i
after the fact. They do know I will show up down there. I am probably going to teach them a lesson through the courts.
