2008 modified 6.7 dodge 2500

I have a 2008 Dodge Ram 2500 that has had the complete EGR deleted. In the last couple of days the engine has become quite loud and it sounds like air is rushing out. When the EGR was removed, plates were used to cover openings where other parts were attached. There is a plate at the back of the exhaust manifold and theta plate has a hole in the center of it. It had something in the hole before and whatever was there is now gone. What was in the hole? Can it be plugged with a bolt? If not a bolt, what? Nothing was attached here before.

Thanks ELLIS

Just a small pipe plug. 1/4 inch I think.

They probably had and EGT probe in that plate before. As mentioned, you could plug it with a pipe plug.
