Yet another confusing situation

I know that yall probably think I am just odd on things, however, my 03 avgs around 17-21 mpg, hand calc, this new one avgs about 20-23 hand calc, why better? also this 05 has twice the thrust of my 03 ever had, also, hours on this truck(05) are about 1060 for 30k miles, and last but not least, smoke, when I get on it it leaves one h*** of a cloud, is all this sounding about normal? Thanks again for yalls input

I had the dealer I bought it from check it out, nothing found, only that they had to replace the front coil springs due to recall, also took it to a nonaffiliated mechanic and he could find nothing wrong other than the rmp shutter, both places said that the truck could not be in any better condition, that said, i do have a blown rear shock, and the front coils are a week out, anyone have those replaced due to the recall, any better? Sorry to ramble, long work days, tired .............

Mine smokes quite a bit if you jump on it. Especially if it's got a little 2-stroke oil in it. (Marvel Mystery Oil has been difficult to find lately) I didn't buy it new, but am not aware of any modifications from stock. Felt sorry for a little Toyota the other day that happened to be in the wrong place when I needed to make a lane change. Might have blurred his vision for a few seconds.

If your '05 is a 2wd that is where your better fuel economy is coming from. 2wd can get 10% better fuel mileage over 4wd

Thats odd Ive never seen a bone stock truck " leave a **ll of a cloud" before. My truck only puffs a bit when I get on it and as soon as the turbo lites its a bit of haze then clears right up. Who knows as long as it makes good power and gets decent milage Id say your ok.
