Won't start

Hi, my brother's 04 is having a little trouble. When he turns the key on most of the gauges won't work and it won't start. The fuel pump isn't working as well. He thinks one of the batteries are bad. He used booster cables but that didn't help. Do you think it's a battery problem or something else?

Yes it cranks fine. It won't show a code, matter of fact can't even get the codes to come up. Doesn't show a "P code done" like it did before. No fuel gauge, no amp gauge, no lift pump, no RPM when cranking, and we can't hear the sound it makes when the juice is going to the injectors prior to start up. We changed the FCM because we had one here but it didn't make any difference. It's like we are not getting any signals. Could it be the crank or camshaft sensors? Any thoughts are appreciated. Ken

After a million miles maybe it's just tired..
