I would not use them, many problems with them. Use Fleetguard Stratpore.

I heard that your truck will explode if you go near it with anything that does not say fleetguard on it... Seriously, there is nothing wrong with Napa Gold (wix). I have been very happy with everything that I have bought from fleetfilter.com. I am currently running Napa Gold air, fuel, and oil filters.

Use what you want, but the only filter that are approved for your engine are:
Part # Manufactuer
5083285AA Mopar
LF16035 Fleetguard Stratapore
LF3894 Fleetguard Stratapore
LF3972 Fleetguard Cellulose
LF3552 Fleetguard Microglas
LF3959 Fleetguard Cellulose
3937695 Cummins Cellulose
FL896 MotorCraft Cellulose
L45335 Purolator Cellulose
PF1070 AC Delco Cellulose

Why anyone would spend $40K on a truck and put unapproved filters on it is simply beyond reason.

Where did you get this info? I have searched all over, Cummins website does not have it. It's not in our manuals and was not provided with this info when they tried to sell me the waranty. I've been using Napa Gold now for all my oil changes. If I could see an actual publication then I would probably start using something else. Thx...

We use Napa gold on our whole fleet, Ford's gas and diesel, Cummins, Chevy diesel(8.3), Deutz diesel, Detroit's, a few Perkin's diesels. I have never in 8 years and 500 pieces of equipment that we maintain seen any Napa filter fail in anyway.??
My job even had training and in class we tron apart the top cheap filters to see whats up and out of the ones we cut into..Napagold, Fram, ACdelco, and autozones filter back then was Duasch or something??
this is who looked the best..
1.Napa/wix
2.Autozones Duasch (SP???)
3.Fram
4.Acdelco
That's why I'm interested in what you have seen or heard????

That being said I use fleetguard filters it's not that big of a price difference.

Over 775,000 miles on three Dodge trucks using Wix filters. I don't believe I'd worry.
95 3500 Dodge, 419k
03 3500 Dodge, 345k
07 3500 Cab and Chassis Dodge, 11,500+ and counting

Those are some of the cheapest filters you can buy!

I worked for a construction company that ran fleetguard and had alot of silicon (dirt) in the oil (oil testing every 100 hours). They switched to Napa Gold, Wix 11 years ago and have not had one issue with filter problems, they have about 250 pieces of heavy equipment along with about 45 Dodge and Ford diesel trucks.

IMO Wix, Napa Gold are some of the best!

I've used them on a lot of farm diesels that only get an oil change once a year and have not had any problems. I use either wix/Napa or fleetguard on the truck. I Would not be concerned. Some people on here change their oil every 2500-3000 miles, use synthetic oil, fleetguard filter and still loose sleep worrying about the oil, filter, air pressure in the spare, etc.. Use a good quality filter and change the oil per manufactures instructions, 7,500-15,000 miles and sleep well.

If I couldn't get the stratapore I would use the WIX aka Napa Gold filters. I just noticed that my oil stay's clear(er)/cleaner longer with the fleetguard...

I've been thinking about the air pressure in the spare alot lately That is just tooooo d--- funny but theres some truth to that. Like some wise old diesel head once said " if it ain't broke......fix it 'til it is"
