A buddy has an issue with his truck that is weird... He is getting the P0204, P0304 and P2149 codes. The issue is very intermittent. When the truck gets warm and is accelerating, the truck loses all power and the issue becomes apparent. It also disappears when the truck cools down or... it just isn't exactly predictable.

I'm going to switch injector 1 and 4 and see if the issue follows the cylinder (ok, prolly a bad injector then), but if it stays at 4, wiring harness?

If the issue wasn't so intermittent I'd be ready to write it off to just an injector. Anybody have any thoughts?

 

On the third try, injector 4 ohmed out at 1.9ohms. Remainder are at 0.4ohm. Looks like we have found the problem. A reman will probably go in, and we will see if that solves it.

Gotta love intermittant problems...

 

The 2149 is inject 4,5 or 6......mine has done the same thing, 3x, set the same code...first time the wires on injector were loose....2nd time found nothing, 3 rd time, nothing so I made sure, again, all connections were good....each time was about 4-6K miles from the last and ran fine in between.....I have yet to figure it out, doing every test and check people say to do...everything looks good......som other than just repplacing all 6 im at a loss.....
