Wiper problems

Im having a problem with my windshield wipers. When they are parked they sit about 6 to 8 inches higher than normal. When I turn them on intermittent they go down first to where they should park then go up as normal but stop higher than normal again. When I run them in the slow or fast settings (not intermittent) they work perfect. I do plow snow so the ice and snow builds up on my lower windshield and sometimes wont let the wipers return down all the way. Usually when I would clear the snow and ice away they would return to the park position, but not any more. My dodge dealer says to just replace the motor but I wanted to run it by you guys first. It seems to me there must me a sensor somewhere to detect the positon of the wipers that might be faulting. The dealer says there is no such sensor. If it were a mechanical issue I would think they wouldnt work normally in the regular settings. Thanks, Mike

I think it would be your wiper motor. Do a search and you might come across the answer to your problem. There was a TSB out for the 03 on wiper motor.
