Wierd noise sounds like a dry bearing @ 50+mph
Yes of course....give me more credit than that.....Now I havn't drain it to see if there is metal particles in it but I made sure the level was up. Regardless it is going back Sat to the dealer I purchased it from. They have a implied warranty on it so I'll let them get foot the bill.. But it still gonna cost me about $350 just to let them have it for a week.. rent a car, fuel, etc... and not mention 6 hrs of windshield time to deliver and 6 hrs to pick up...
Just as an aside-IIRC don't drive these trucks around without the front driveshaft attached. I thought transfer case lubrication depended on the front driveshaft spinning the pump at the front output bearing. Am I wrong? I might be
wouldn't be the first time just ask my wife! Seriously though-it sounds like a U joint. Did you check the front axle U joints at the steering knuckles?

The sound has went away now that the front driveshaft has been removed. The owner of the dealer mentioned a index ring for the transfercase. But I still think it is the bearing in the transfercase for the front output.
Update: Got truck back from dealer. Mechanic said all they did was take front driveline to driveline repair shop and had it checked for faulty u-joints (all were good) and had it rebalanced. Whalla!! no sound but there is a barely feel of vibration now. I can live with it.....
