This fall, there was a whining noise when I would turn the steering wheel left. It soon happened when I turned in both directions. Now that it's cold, the noise occurs when I turn, when I brake and when I push the acceleration. The truck does take a while to warm up and the noise slowly goes away but not completely. Some guesses from a friend were to replace the thermostat and/or replace the belt. Attached is a video of the noise when I turn the steering wheel.

Thoughts on a possible fix?

 

Have you checked the level in your Power Steering Pump?
