Wheel stud help!
Well I just rotated my tires. Was letting the front end down to put the torque wrench on them ,and the jack let down to fast and broke one of the studs on the left side.
Any tips on replacing studs?
What should the lugs be torqued to anyway?

I have not really looked at them on my truck but usually you just take a punch and hammer and punch it out. Then put the new one in and punch it in or tighten it so that it pulls in. As for the torque spec I always use gooten tight for mine.
go buy a new stud and nut. take the rotor off and have the studs facing up thread the old nut on the bad stud just flush with the top and hammer out and then slide the new one in and put a spacer between the rotor and the nut and tighten till all the way up
I believe it's between 130 and 140 foot pounds. It's in the manual. I always look it up when I rotate my tires as I always forget what it is exactly. I set my torque wrench to a point halfway between the range the owner's manual states.
