What should I do with the transmission?

I have less then 60,000 miles on this stock auto tranny, but i would like to run a smarty jr with the 100hp setting. The current tranny is doing fine, but i want it to stay good..what upgrades do you recommend. Thanks

2005 2500.

I'm in almost the same boat as you except I have 63000 miles on mine and I just run a 65hp fueling box. Since I don't drive like a maniac anymore and I only bumped the power up to help when towing I am only going to upgrade my valve body and TRE is building me a towing unit. I checked my band adjustment and there is like zero wear on them so for that reason, and the trans works great already, that's all I am doing. If I wasn't such a tightwad then I would be getting a basic rebuild with a better converter too. I don't really tow that much so I'm gonna live with mine until it starts giving me problems.
If you choose to get a better converter then it's kind of nuts to not at least go through the trans while it's out and inspect or upgrade the bands and clutches....
