What is the pcv valve? Is this the cause of oil spewing from my blow tube?

What is it, and how do I check it? I've lost 9 quarts of oil in 6000 miles, and it's coming from the blow valve, covering the bottom of the truck. Could it be as something as simple as this? Thanks

Check the dipstick tube,,,,,, make sure it is not cracked on the rolled area that butts up to the crankcase and seals with an O-ring,,,,,,,

You don't have a PCV valve, too much pressure. If its blowing by you may have an engine problem. Check the dipstick tube also and make sure its not cracked.

Injector leaking fuel into engine? Crack or leak in one of the injector lines?

You should be able to smell diesel fuel in the oil if that is the cause....

Could this be caused by the vacuum pump going bad also?

No vacuum pumps on the newer trucks, all electric servo and motors.

Mine was broken/cracked and was leaking just like you described,,,, but not quite as much,,,, It oiled the entire underside of the truck on the drivers side,,, It looked ike it was coming out of the Crank case breather hose/blow by tube,,, but I found it in a couple of hours after I deegreased everything and got under it while running had some airflow out the crank case breather hose but it the inside was dry and the out side of the tube was soaked with oil,,,,

Thats when I found the dipstick tube cracked it was amazing how much oil was coming out tha moto

I checked the dip stick tube, hoping that I would find something, but no such luck. Appears as if it is cming from the breather hose. It's going in Monday, so we'll see what they find.
