I just bought a 2006 dodge 2500. I keep reading something about a flash. What is it?

Its when the computer is re-programed

 

First, you put on a trench coat with nothing under it. Then....well, on second thought I could be contributing to the deliquency of an oil burner..so never mind.

Like said before, it is when the computer is reprogramed. They can actually re-flash it for several reasons but mostly driveability issues. If things change from the manufacture they will update the current models and issue a TSB (Technical Service Bulletin) for the other to be re-flashed if the owner wants it done.

 

That is what you used to do to get the generator working on your grandfathers Desoto.
