what to do?

my engine was overhauled by cummins for free ( long story) about 2 years ago.had a 1 year 12,000 mile warranty.I now have about 25,000 miles on it,and have a knock. Put new injectors in thinking it was injector knock.Didn't change.Took it to dealer and they did injector kill test and told me it was #6 cylinder.Cummins had put a new injector in that hole when they overhauled it.Dealer also said it sounded like a wrist pin problem. You would think an overhaul should last more than 25,000 miles , right? Not sure what to do. Any advice would be appreciated.

Wow, man that sucks, I could possibly see that happening if the dealership rebuilt it, but cummins doing the work, wow.

I believe your SOL,, because of the time and mileage lapse, unless maybe a lawyer could prove faulty workmanship. About all I could offer up, hope you get it fixed.

Yeah afraid you can't go after them, except the Cummins shop might help you out with parts or discount their labor or something on an empathy basis to help protect their good name.

I've never given any thought to overhauling a 5.9, but can you drop the pan and pull the piston & rod assy from underneath like you can on an old chevy? Probably way cheaper than pulling the engine...
