P0514 Battery Temperature Sensor Performance / Rationality

Seen a few posts on this, but don't really remember if there was a real reason or just one of those that happen occasionally. Maybe someone with experience with it will chip in.

It's a battery temperature rationality code. There have been lots of these codes set. There is a flash out to take care of it.

My garage is not heated but I do have 4" of insulation in the attic. Inside the garage can get 30* difference if a cold front comes thru at night. Mine seems to come on 0514 (Battery temp ) or 0071 (air temp) whenever a big change in temperature. CEL came on twice last spring and only once this fall.
It goes away in a day or two. I just got a Autoscanner this fall and cleared it myself.
