Well, the truck is officially a non driving piece of poo!!! I can steer somewhat one way but not the other at all. Have to leave it at the tireshop for the weekend!!! It has to be the ball joints. They are going to change them all under warranty anyways so I hope this is the cure. If it isn't, I'm going to leave the keys in it and the doors unlocked in downtown Edmonton!!!

Ball joints are probably your problem, but one question, do you have a steering box brace? When I put H2 wheels and tires on my truck, it was really hard to turn the wheels when stationary, I put the steering box brace on it and the problem went away, no more hard turning.

I do. I put the DSS on as soon as I bought the truck last March. I had one on my 2001 also. They are so nice!!

Recall Code H46. Mopar Steering Linkage

Pertains to the drag link inner joint, may fracture under certain conditions. It also states that the steering damper bracket at the tie rod tube may loosen.

Dealer says it only takes a few minutes to inspect, if something is faulty it's covered (parts & labor).

Exists In Some 2003 through 2009 Model Year Dodge Trucks

Didn't apply as my entire front end was rebuilt completely with Moog parts.
