For those of you that have an aftermarket temp gauge, where are you tapping into?
I plan to install a Autometer electric temp gauge and am looking for the best place to install the sensor. Thanks in advance.

There are several plugged ports in the head on the exhaust side. From some things I have read #1 is the hottest, other say #6... so its up to you where you put it.
Why not a tool like the ScanGauge that reads the ECM number and many other things...

i want to do the same. my preference is to have a separate gauge (stand alone from the PCM) that way, i can see what it is doing. The PCM might get be too slow to respond. XLR8R has like 10 temp gauges in his truck! LOL
