The water pump blew, I had the belt, water pump, Tensioner, Both radiator hoses and the Thermostat replaced. Before all this truck ran at 180f all the time. Now it creeps up to 205 and drops down to about 195f. I pulled off the rear hose to see if I could get air pocket out. But whn I pulled off hose and added fluided it just started pouring out there. So i am guessing no air bubble. Could it be the new thermostat? I can easily replace that myself. My truck runs at 205 witht he plow on in winter so I dont want to be at 220 with plow on

195* to 210* is a safe range for these trucks. 220*...not so much, so I see your concern. Was the old t-stat a factory jobber or aftermarket? Who did the swap for you on your parts....dealership? If so then they went back with a 195* t-stat.

I installed a 180* and my gauge reads around 190* or so but it does get a little warm here in Texas so I can understand why the guage reads hotter.

These systems can be a pain to get all the air out. The easiest way is to pull a freeze plug on top left (as you look at it from the front of the truck) of the motor above the exahust manifold. Air pockets will sit up there and they are hard to get rid of. Pull one plug towards the front and fill her up. Bouncing temps are a sign of an air pocket, good luck.

Well I found out what my issue was. They didnt install the wire tha goes up to the Fan clutch properly. It was just laying up against the shroud. Cant be that tought to repalce it I am guessing

Are the wires torn or is the connection just not plugged in all the way? If the wires are torn....which end....the clutch end or on the engine side? I'd be taking it back to whoever did the work and have them do it. To fix the clutch side I guess you could splice the wires if need be....other than that you're looking at a whole clutch assembly.....not cheap!!!

You cant just buy the wire? its cut in middle after the the metal brace on it. closer to the fan
