Not really sure if this belongs here, but here goes. I just picked up my 06 and the first thing i wanna do is straight pipe it, its too quiet for me but i was curious on whether or not it would void my warrenty. thanks for the help

 

best thing to do, would be to ask the dealer that you would have do warranty work if they would void it. You will get many responses on here saying that it will not, but it all depends on how the dealer that does the work interprets the warranty. Some say any mods to the truck what so ever will void it, others will warranty suspension stuff, even if you have added a lift kit and other stuff.

It is hit and miss.

 

I went aftermarket exhaust about two months after I got my truck. Basically it may void the warrenty on the muffler , but hey, its gone anyway... I have taken my truck in for basic service many times and a few recalls as well and nothing other than they liked the sound was ever mentioned..
