Unhappy Vibration at idle

Hi all,

First post so please bear with me.

Just today I experienced a noise I could hear only at idle.
It sounded similar to a cell phone on vibrate.
It would occur at about 30-40 second intervals and last for about 2 seconds. This went on for as long as I cared to run the engine at idle and listen (about 5 minutes).

Truck is very lightly modded. I have 132k on the clock so far.

Heard this one before?

Thanks.

You uh, do have the Cummins diesel option, right? My truck is fairly loud at idle with the dual disk, I wouldn't notice a cell phone vibrating.

Just kidding. Auto or stick?

When you tap the go pedal, it goes away?

You positive it's not a standard interior BSR? (buzz, squeak, rattle)

If it is an automatic truck i have had the electric vacuum pump make that noise usually caused by the vacuum line getting a hole in it.

That electric pump is on the passenger side behind the battery and the coolent fill container. Are you having trouble with the Cruse Control?
I had a small nick in the line off that pump, a small black line that T's off in the middle of the firewall. The pump would cycle quite often till I totally lost Cruse because the pump burnt out (Dodge thought it was for the Break system, but I never lost the breaks even after the pump died).

Yes it's an auto trans.

I am positive its not a BSR.

If it is the electric vacuum pump would I notice any problem with the cruise?

This noise does seems to be very consistent.

Engine performance seems completely normal....

Do you still have this vibration? I have developed it with no idea what it is.
