Question Vibration in the 6 speeds

In the trucks that I have test driven lately I seem to notice a slight vibration that you can feel through the stick, it seems to be in all of them. I've had only Fords so I don't know if that is just the nature of the beast. Is this somewhat normal?
Boy, it's hard to find 6 speeds out here..........

The stick has a high speed vibration on my truck, which has a 325/600 engine, a stockish Dodge clutch and a ZF6 transmission, with a single mass flywheel. I also get a bit of gear roller noise when idling around in 3rd and 4rth gears.

With the Powerstroke on the same transmission and clutch, I got a heavier vibration on the stick at idle. It was almost a shaking gearshift. The gear rollover noise was less.

The 6 cylinder Cummins has more prominent firing events at idle, but they are more regular. The Powerstroke had lighter firing events but it almost seemed to misfire.

I'll take the Cummins vibration over the Powerstroke shaking stick any day.

I wonder how much less gear roll over noise I'd have with a dual mass flywheel and if it would be worth the bother.

I'm using the 92-98 engine mounts, if that makes a difference.

All manual trucks I've driven have had some vibration in the shifter. My NV5600 is worse than my Toyota W56's.... but nothing rattles like the T-90 in my Scout. I know the T56 trans in cars vibrates as well. I assume unless the manufacturer has taken specific steps to isolate the shifter from the transmission you'll have a vibration.

1200 miles and no shifter rattle yet. Keeping my fingers crossed.

I was mainly comparing it to the Fords. I realize all manuals will do this to a certain extent but it just seemed differnt with the CTD.
