I have a vibration in my truck and not sure were it is coming from. well it could be one thing for sure possibly 3!

I crawled under the truck to do some trouble shooting and this is what I found.

U-joints all still good.

Hanger bearing Loose. (never lasts very long) is contributing to some of vib.

two pice rear shaft by hager were it slips togeather seems like lots of play in splined part.

T-case seems to have alot of play when rear shaft is rotated back and forth before it catches. Front drive shaft were it bolts on to the flange of T-case there is up and down movement at flange. I am guessing a bad bearing there?

I took the cover off the rear end and checked it out fluid looked ok. then I grabed a dial indicator and checked back lash and that was .005. no side to side play in ring gear and no play in pinion bearing. so I beleve the rear diff is good. also when I had the dial indicator on ring gear I check to see how much rotation was in the driveshaft. there was .082 and it seemed to catch or stop rotating back and forth in the T-case.

I am not sure were to look next, or what to fix. Well the hanger bearing but I am not sure if i shoud replace the drive shaft (if bad)when replacing the hanger or not?

 

what speed is urvibration at? mine is at 90-100 km/hour

 

It is bad at 65mph to 80 mph. it is almost gone when you let off the gas peadel.

 

mine is like that to. it used to be so bad that my gps suction cup on windshield would vibrate off. i got tires balanced and rear ujoint changed.its way better but when i accelerate lightly i can feel a vibration between 3rd and fourth gear at around 95 km/hour

 

do you have anything done to your tranny, or is it stock. If so you may need to beef it up some.
