Vibration 2003 HO/48RE
Immediatly after purchase (50 miles) I experienced a drive train vibration after 70 MPH. One dealer I spoke to said this is common, that DC knows about it and they are working on it. 2 weeks ago DC said there were no engineering issues. Trips to 2 different dealers (removing drive shafts etc.) resulted in them claiming that there is no solution. Today DC admitted there is an issue and they are working on a fix. I went with Cummins and the beefed up automatic as opposed to the new 6.0 PS and new tranny. I hope my rationale proves itself out. Great truck aside from this cursed vibration!

Hopefully it's not something silly like your tires need balancing.... ;D

The poor folks that bought the 6.0s are in misery for the most part. Ford's cheap a$$ let the consumers do the testing for them, instead of testing and putting out a quality product that is trouble free. Imagine the rage these people must feel but not want to admit, at buying those expensive 6.0's and having to repeatedly bring them in for ECU reflashes, stalling, etc, etc etc... Too bad. In a few years they might have a good engine. They should have put out a good one to start with.

Good luck on your vibration!!

A few more pieces to this vibration issue based on comments by another user. The tires were "force balanced" and both drive shafts were balanced. In fact the vibration was there with either driveshaft removed. Therefore it has to reside in the trans, diffs, or transfer case.

To the comments on the 6.0 and associated quailty issues, that is exactly why I stayed away from Ford. DC admits there is a problem......that is 3/4 of the battle.
