i dont believe the 150k miles before valve lash. I did my first one at 40K and my second one at 65k (the second one was because i put my F1 valve spring in and let them seat for 2k miles) but still, both times reduced the rocker noise down considerably. I am at 80K now and will probably do another before this summer.

Setting the exh. valve tighter (say .016" but no more) this will increase duration and lift slightly which does provide a noticable, however slight, faster spool. A side effect to this is decreasing the incylinder EGR which will show up on your pyro as increased EGT even though actual in cylinder EGT remains unchanged.

I don't go with the cummins spec either on when you should do it.

I adjusted mine the first time when the head studs went in, and every time I've had the valve cover off... Most times they are all in spec...

Did you find them too tight or too loose? I don't think mine have ever been done Is the gasket with the injector connections reusable?

They were always pretty close to spec. I did not check the factory spec when they were removed to install the head studs.

Yes, as long as you don't rip it.

Is there a forum writeup hopefully with pics for a valve adjustment?

Mine are a little noisy @ 69,000 miles.

Thanks
